Luang Pa Bang (15th December,Of sleeping in, sun set and 12 hour bus ride)
By the time I woke up, it's 11a.m. Gloria was nowhere in sight, I saw the laptop gone and knew that she's out blogging some where. We checked out by noon cause we were leaving at 7.3op.m that evening to Vientiane. The journey was suppose to take 10 hours, but after 2 bus rides in Laos, we learn to think beyond; we gave it 12 hours.
Gloria wanted her egg with lots of veggies again and I was craving for my bbq fish since the previous night. We pass by this eating place and it look nice to eat in. We went to get the egg and once again she bump into the guy she met in Vientiane and Vang Vien. They chatted while I looked on.
After lunch we took a walk around the river side. The Mekong river was beautiful, it felt like there was so much life in that river. We stopped by this bar by the river and settle down for our last beer lao. Photo whored the whole afternoon before hiking up to Pussie Mountain to catch the sun set. Ran into some of Gloria's friend, it's such a small world after all.
We bought dinner and then head off to the bus station. On the bus already, that woman suddenly remembered that I didn't remind her to take her charger and it's still in the guesthouse! We were like "oh shit!" Glor wanted me to get her a new charger for christmas (which isn't a problem) but meanwhile she wouldn't be able to use her camera for a good few days. I urged her to go back and take, let the bus wait (it's going to wait by the way). She headed back and when she went off, I then realise she didn't wear her sweater along... She froze all the way.
Gloria took quite awhile and I grew worried. In my heart I was like, "Forget the charger lah, just come back safe." Wonder why the heck did I had those thoughts. Finally she came back and pheeeeeeew! The charger was back. The bus moved but it wasn't long before it stopped again to wait for people. Laos transport.
The toilet stops were fantastic. We stopped in the middle of no where, totally pitch black and had to do our business there. The guys had it easy, we girls have to go behind the buses and space out to do it. But it was fun. The moon was vey bright and the stars were many. After toilet, we just stood around looking at the moon and stars. If it wasn't for the cold cold weather, we would have stayed longer. I remember telling myself before boarding the bus.. "This is one heck of an experience!"
